From the development of innovative student achievement and curriculum data management systems to leveraging the use of student’s personal Internet-enabled devices in classroom instruction, the Information Technology Department is focused on "Exceeding Standards, Future Ready" schools, students and staff!

Awards & Recognitions

• School System Technology Integration (Article from American School Board Journal, Oct. 2010): Would Sam Adams “friend” Lord Hillsborough if they were both on Facebook? That question is probably way too easy for the students in Lisa Parachini’s American history class at Dysart High School near Phoenix, Ariz. The students each picked a Founding Father, made Facebook pages for them, accepted (or most likely rejected, in the case of Adams and the King’s colonial secretary) various “friend” queries, wrote persuasive blogs in the voices of their patriots, and otherwise became not mere spectators, but players in the American Revolution. • Digital Schools Award: The Dysart Unified School District was the winner of the sixth annual Digital School District award, presented by e.Republic's Center for Digital Education, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) and Coverge Online magaine. The purpose of the award is to recognize school districts and school boards across he nation whose use of digital technology in interfacing with students, parents and community, district governing, and bettering of operations proved exceptional.
