PREP Academy Registration
The Dysart Unified School Districts’ Community Education Department announces the registration for our Pre-Kindergarten rooms. The current programs are located at Sonoran Heights Elementary and the Dysart High School Child Development Center. The P.R.E.P. (Preparation and Readiness Education Program) Academy will prepare your young child for their first school experience. To take on the world, your child will need a solid foundation of learning. So for their first experience, why would you choose anything other than a school that has proven its capacity for quality learning?
At this fun and enriching hands-on program, children attend school five days a week from 8:45 am until 3:30 pm. and will follow the school calendar for holidays, breaks, and parent teacher conferences. Best of all, tuition for this incredible program is extremely competitive ($165 per week with extended care and $150 per week for class time only), DES is accepted and there are discounts for additional children within the same family. The extended program offers a drop off as early as 6:00 am and pick up as late as 6:00 pm and child care during those non school day sessions will be offered for an extra fee if needed. Breakfast and lunch are included in this price and an afternoon snack is included in the extended care option.

Children must meet minimum age requirements to be eligible to register. The child must be 4 years of age by September 1st, 2011 and not older than 5 years of age (for those that did not make the Kindergarten cut off date of September 1, 2011). Children must be potty-trained.
You will need to bring to registration:
- Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records including Hepatitis A
- Information for three emergency contacts (name, address, telephone number)

The purpose of this program is to provide learning opportunities in the areas of cognitive, language and social skills. Each child’s feelings are very important and we nurture them in a positive learning environment to foster high self-esteem. This program also works in conjunction with Dysart High School to give “on site job training” to high school students who are enrolled in the Child Development program. Children enrolled in the infant, toddler and preschool classes will have interaction with high school students under the supervision of an adult. The high school students will be observing and presenting age appropriate educational experiences.
