10.10.P.1 Admission of Transfer Students
PROCEDURE PROCEDURE

Reference:
Section 10.10 - Policy

The following procedures are instituted for purposes of processing transfer student admissions:

TRANSCRIPTS FROM ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS:

Students with official transcripts from institutions with AdvancED accreditation (or similar regional organizations) will receive credit and letter grades according to those transcripts.

No course on the official transcript will be deleted from the transcript; all courses on the transcript are included in the calculation of the G.P.A.

Classification of credits (core or elective) is subject to District guidelines for transfer of credits.

HOME-SCHOOLED STUDENTS

Home-schooled student transcripts from an accredited agency will be evaluated on an individual basis by the school personnel for credit only. No letter grades will be given. Students without transcripts will be able to receive credit through the “testing out for credit” process.
