Thompson Ranch completes APS STEM School for the Future
Thompson Ranch completes APS STEM School for the FutureThompson Ranch Elementary School recently completed the Arizona Public Service (APS) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) School for the Future Professional Development Program. Thompson Ranch was recognized by Northern Arizona University’s (NAU) Center for Science Teaching & Learning, in partnership with APS, for successfully completing this prestigious two-year STEM integration program made possible by a grant received from APS.

This program has allowed Thompson Ranch to provide professional development on the implementation of STEM education, as well as provide hands on learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math to teachers and administrators. The school recently showcased their STEM projects for a NAU/APS walkthrough.

Northern Arizona University’s Center for Science Teaching & Learning Professional Development team helps current STEM educators improve their teaching practices through customized support sessions for educators across Arizona, the United States, and the world.
