PSAT Registration - October Deadline
Take the first step on the road to college. This Fall, do not miss the PSAT.

The PSAT prepares you for the SAT and is the perfect way to take the next step to college. The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is an assessment administered to 10th and 11th grade students that helps prepare them for the SAT, college, and careers. Historically, students who take the PSAT/NMSQT score higher on the SAT, on average, than those who do not take the test.

Three things the PSAT helps you do to get ready for college.
  • Access scholarships-The College Board’s scholarship partners use the PSAT to help find qualified students. Be sure to say “yes” to Student Search service on the day of the test to make it easy for them to find you.
  • Prep for the SAT for free-Taking the PSAT is great practice for the SAT and for college. Get familiar with the test format and access free, personalized SAT practice from Khan Academy.
  • Connect to AP courses-Your score report will show AP courses that are a great match for you. AP can give you an edge in the admission process, and an opportunity to earn college credit while in high school, allowing you to save money, study abroad, or take on a second major.

Test Date:  October 30, 2019
