Google Helps and Hints - Making Comments in a Google Doc
One of the lesser known features of Google Docs is the ability to comment to collaborators on a shared document. This is a great feature for teachers to use when students hand in an assignment using Google docs, or for students to use in collaboration and peer editing. The teacher and students can comment on specific parts of a document, and even reply to comments to create a discussion. All comments are kept in the Comments section for future reference.
