The Dysart Developmental Preschool Program provides an inclusive developmental preschool experience for children with diagnosed disabilities ages two years nine months to five years old that reside in the Dysart Unified School District.

All developmental preschool classes include typically developing preschoolers considered as role models and those with special needs.

The preschool philosophy at Dysart Developmental Preschool Program is we all learn from one another!  All classrooms teachers are certified by the Arizona Department of Education in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. The program is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Child Care Licensing (AZ DHS).

Classroom curriculum is based on the Arizona Early Childhood Education Learning Standards with a focus on school-readiness. Additionally, we utilize Houghton Mifflin Splash into Pre-K curriculum which helps to prepare students for kindergarten standards. Teaching Strategies GOLD is also utilized as our comprehensive and on-going progress monitoring tool of student strengths and areas to develop.  A variety of related service providers such as: Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, school Psychologist and their assistants provide specific therapies based on the students Individual Education Plan (IEP).  Through an integrated approach we are able to challenge all students to exceed at their developmental abilities.
