Marci Hessler, Principal

Hello Coyotes!

It is with great pride that I welcome you to the upcoming 2020-21 school year!  As the Principal starting my seventh year at Countryside, it is the first time in my life that I am starting the school year greeting both returning families and new families virtually. Although we are starting this school year remotely, I am looking forward to meeting each and every new family this year as well as re-connecting with our current families.  Our teachers are dedicated and prepared to meet the challenge head on and are prepared to deliver excellent learning opportunities, both virtually and in person, when we are able to!
As I celebrate 27 years in education, I am grateful and humbled to be a part of the Countryside community.  I have served as a seventh grade Language Arts teacher, a high school English teacher, an At-Risk Student Adviser, an Instructional Growth Teacher, and an Assistant Principal.  This is my 11th year in the Dysart Unified School District.
I have lived in the West Valley for 41 years and graduated from Peoria High School.  I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees from Arizona State University.  I live in the West Valley with my husband, son and three dogs.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or clarifications.  I firmly believe in the team approach to finding solutions.
Here’s to the 2020-21 school year!

Michelle Hill, Assistant Principal

Welcome to another amazing year at Countryside Elementary!

I hope that you and your child are just as excited about the 2020-2021 school year as we are!   Although we are starting the year out remotely we have been working closely with our teachers to provide a welcoming online environment for your child where they can get to know their teacher, their classmates and all of the ins and outs of online learning!  Your support, flexibility and communication are vital during these unprecedented times.

I am honored to be starting my 6th year as the Assistant Principal at Countryside and my 20th year in education.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Cedarville University and my Master's in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University.  I have taught first grade, second grade and third grade in the Dysart District and was an Instructional Coach and 21st Century Specialist in the Dysart Unified School District.  I live in the valley with my husband, daughter and two sons.

I look forward to working with you and your child this year and believe that together we can accomplish great things. I look forward to seeing each of you face to face. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
