Preschool Programs

Dysart is proud to offer top-quality preschool programs at all of our elementary schools that will help prepare your child to succeed in life.  We offer an innovative and educationally stimulating preschool program for four-year-olds, which features the Arizona Early Learning Standards curriculum designed to help children develop skills in seven major content areas:Preschool Boy Reading

Our mission is to help your child achieve his/her full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively.  All preschool programs offer half-day morning and afternoon classes in a safe, caring, and nurturing learning environment.

Title I Preschool
Our Title I preschool features curriculum focused on preparing your child for Kindergarten.  We offer a comprehensive and integrated early childhood learning program that features high-interest activities that engages the children and allows them to learn and explore at many different levels.  The Dysart Title I preschool program is available at eight elementary schools:

  • Thompson Ranch

Children must be four-years-old on or before August  31st of the current school year to qualify.  Additionally, children are required to attend the school that is within the boundary of their home address.  To determine your child's home school location, please visit  You may register your child at the home school office.  Required documents for registration include:

  • Immunization Record
  • Proof of Residence
  • Parent/Guardian Photo ID

Developmental Preschool
The Dysart Developmental Preschool Program provides an inclusive developmental preschool experience for children with diagnosed disabilities ages two years, nine months to five years old who reside within the Dysart Unified School District boundaries.  Children without developmental needs have the opportunity to become Peer Model Students in this program.  The classroom curriculum is based on the Arizona Early Childhood Education Learning Standards with a focus on school readiness.  Teaching Strategies GOLD is also utilized as a comprehensive and ongoing monitoring tool for student progress.  A variety of related service providers, including Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and School Psychologists provide specific therapies based on the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).  

All classroom teachers are certified by the Arizona Department of Education in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.  All preschool programs are licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Child Care Licensing.
