Driver's Education

instructor showing student driver hand placement​Dysart Unified School District's Community Education Department offers an Arizona Department of Transportation approved Drivers Education program for high school students including behind-the-wheel training for students that are at least 15 years, 6 months. Students must have their driving permit in order to receive the behind-the-wheel training. Students who successfully complete the program, which requires 100% attendance, will receive an official Driver Education Certificate which fulfills the state requirement for the Graduated License. Driver's Education

The cost for the class is $300 and includes behind-the-wheel training. Each session is 10 weeks long; 5 weeks lecture followed by 5 weeks of behind-the-wheel.

Session 1 (January 11 - March 12)

January 11 - February 8  (Saturdays, lecture only)

February 10 - March 12 (Behind the wheel*)

Session 2 (February 15 - April 24)

February 15 - March 14 (Saturdays, lecture only)

March 16 - April 24 (Behind the wheel*)​

Session 3 (March 28 - May 30)

March 28 - April 25  (Saturdays, lecture only)

April 27 - May 30 (Behind the wheel*)

*Behind the wheel time is scheduled throughout the week and on Saturdays. You will have the option to choose the time that works best for you once you have registered for the course.

Learners Permit Course

This course will help students prepare for the test to get their permit. The cost for the class is $30 and is offered on a Saturday, or Monday & Wednesday.
