This year we will not be hosting a Walk-Thru in July.  Any paperwork or items that needs to be dropped off  can be dropped off directly to the front office in July.

FORMS: All parents MUST complete the Annual Student Update Form
Parents/Guardian MUST complete the Annual Student Update forms online thru your parent portal. When done click SUBMIT for forms to be submitted. Instructions enclosed. Make sure all contact, emergency and annual medical review information are current on file. Medical review information must be updated yearly to receive any medical treatment. If you have an address change, you must provide a current utility bill to the office to make the change.

Tuesday, July 28, 2020, 7:15am-2:15pm. Cafeteria Ease your student into the high school environment. Students will participate in hands-on activities, get acquainted with the staff & campus and make new friends.  $15 registration fee.  1. Register HERE. You will then receive a confirmation email. Click on link.  2. Pay fee through PAY ONLINE.  Registration and payment are both done online. Transportation is NOT provided. Parent Orientation Night! 
Wednesday, July 29, 2020 6-7pm. Auditorium  When you send your child off to college, parent orientation is a vital part of helping them start out on the right foot. We understand that attending high school can also be exciting and worrisome for both parents and students. So, we have planned an orientation that will celebrate your excitement and calm your anxiety. This orientation is designed to inform you about what to expect now that your student is enrolled, and to help you help them be as successful as possible. The orientation is filled with lots of important information, and we look forward to having you as our guest on campus.  Please make plans to attend so that you and your child can get off to the best start possible at WCHS.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: - REMOTE LEARNING
Tuesday, August 4, 2020. 7:15 am school begins. Absences are counted from the first day of each semester.  For this reason, it is especially important that students be in school on the first day of school.                                                                                            
 
**POSTPONED - SCHOOL ID’s (9th-12th) and SCHOOL PICTURES (9th-11th only) taken on same day.
Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Taken in A Building teacher workroom during your English class (9th-11th). If you do not have an English class just come by during any hour.  ID’s will be taken for all grades (9th-12th).  ID’s are mandatory and must be carried at all times. Students must purchase a sports activity pass prior to getting an ID from the Bookstore. Bring your receipt to A building and get a sports icon placed on the ID.  Make-up day for ID’s is 2 weeks after school starts in the Bookstore. 
School pictures are only for (9th -11th grade).  School Make-up picture day is Sept 15, 2020.
Dress Code Enforced.  
Senior pictures are taken directly at  Grads Photography (click HERE to pre-order) for Fall 2020-2021, 9th - 11th Grade School Pictures. More info below.

**POSTPONED - STUDENT PARKING PERMITS:

10th, 11th and 12th graders (eligible) must complete the required parking application (form attached) and return all documentation (application, current vehicle registration, insurance and driver’s license) along with the $60 parking fee. Permits can be purchased at the bookstore located by the cafeteria . Application attached

Pre-Sale price $65 originally $95 price good thru September 25, 2020. Price will increase as the year goes on.

SENIOR PICTURES:  
Senior yearbook pictures must be taken no later than October 22, 2020 at      
GRADS Photography.  Parent/Guardian, if your student does not have their picture taken, they will not be in the yearbook or in the end of the year video which is shown at the graduation ceremony. There is no fee for the yearbook picture.  Book appointment online at www.gradsphotography.com or call Grads at 623-566-1082.

ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY:
In order to participate in interscholastic competition at Willow Canyon High School, athletes must have the following completed and on file with the Athletic Secretary. Some Summer sports conditioning starts in June.

Physical Packet: Complete at REGISTER MY ATHLETE (Instruction Enclosed)

Physical Examination: Must be dated after March 1, 2020

Online Concussion Course: AIA ACADEMY

Student and Family Sports Activity Pass: Students can purchase student sports activity pass Aug 5th in the BOOKSTORE by the cafeteria prior to taking an ID/School picture. (Sports icon will be placed on ID)

STUDENT RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Parents and students can visit the website to review the student handbook at Dysart.org under the Parent & Student link. Please familiarize yourself with the attendance, dress code and discipline policies. If unable to review the student handbook online, students will receive a hard copy at the beginning of the school year. 

BUS TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation is extended to students in the district as determined by District Policy EEAA. Families may obtain route information on the district website at Dysart.org, scroll to bottom of website, bus locator after Aug 1st, 2020. Students on an attendance variance or out of boundaries will NOT be provided transportation. See flyer   Transportation  (623) 876-7030
