Site Council

The Site Council's mission is to create a shared vision for curricular and instructional strategies/designs, involving a variety of the members of the school and community who will be most affected by the results.
The Site Council:
  • Is advisory to the school administrative staff.
  • Is a representative group that solicits input from parents, community, and staff members.
  • Reviews literature and data.
  • Makes recommendations for school improvement.
  • Monitors implementation structure for new instructional designs.
  • Provides leadership and representation in the school decision-making structure.

Surprise Elementary Site Council Bylaws effective August 2018 [PDF]

If you are interested in joining the Surprise Elementary School Site Council, complete the site council application and turn into the front office by Thursday, August 15, 2109.   Applications will be sent home on the first day with students.  If you are a community member, please stop by the office to pick up an application.  The first meeting for site council is scheduled for August 29, 2019.
