8th Annual Turkey Trot
The 2019 Turkey Trot will be held on Tuesday, November 26th.  The turkey trot is an event that focuses on the healthy lifelong activities of walking, jogging and running.  This non-competitive event allows students and families to participate in the walk/jog on the main field.  5th through 8th grade students will attend the turkey trot at 9:30 am, Kindergarten through 4th grade students will attend their turkey trot at 10:30.  Each session will last roughly 50 minutes.

The 5th through 8th grade turkey trot will include a one mile competitive run.  This run is optional.  This run will allow each competitor the chance to win a prize with the first place boy and girl each winning a frozen turkey!  Each participant will have the opportunity to compete against our administration and staff.  Also, every runner that completes the mile will earn a certificate with their mile run time on it.

This year, we will continue our theme of ‘The Spirit of Giving’.  The second component of the Turkey Trot is a canned food drive.  Our 2018 food drive raised  over 1500 pounds of food for St Mary's Food Bank.  Each student that wants to participate in the canned food drive is welcome to bring in a donation.  Donations will be accepted beginning on November 18th.  The last day to bring in cans will be on the day of the turkey trot, November 26th .  At the conclusion of the turkey trot, the canned food donations will be given to St. Mary’s food bank on behalf of Countryside students.  The donation will help families in need over the holiday season and into the New Year.

Please come and join us on November 26th to participate in the EIGHTH annual Countryside Turkey Trot.
