Arizona STEM School Community of Practice logo

Below are our student activities for the 20-21 school year.

Ballet Folklorico
Sponsors: Mrs. Chacon and Mrs. Arizmendez
Our group is part of Thompson Ranch's 21st Century Tutoring and Enrichment program.
This school program meets twice a week and teaches traditional Mexican folk dances to students in grades 4th-8th.
Students learn dances from three different regions in Mexico: Michoacan, Guadalajara and Veracruz.   Our goal is to promote pride in Mexican cultural heritage and enhance student self-esteem.  The Ballet Folklorico Dancers perform in school and community events around the city.
