8th Grade Celebration
Sunset Hills 8th Grade CelebrationSunset Hills 8th grade celebration flyer
Wednesday, May 20th from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Cafeteria
  • All 8th grade teachers will be on campus during this time to pass out spring pictures, yearbooks, athletics certificates, awards certificates, class T-shirts and 8th Grade Promotion certificates and programs.
  • We need to practice social distancing and are asking that everyone limit the people coming to the school to students and parents. This is another opportunity for pick up/drop off of materials and a chance to have face time with the 8th Grade teachers.
  • Students and parents will enter through the main gate and staff & signs will guide you through the process of returning/picking up items.
  • While our only contact will be to distribute items, we would love this time to recognize your student.
  • If you're not able to come during this time, you may come during one of the other return/pickup times, however, the 8th Grade teachers will not be present during those times.

This is not a promotion ceremony; a virtual presentation is being sent via email on May 20th at 2:00 pm to all 8th grade parents.

Census 2020
The U.S. Constitution requires that each decade a census, or count, is taken of America’s population. This year’s Census will start in mid-March, and we hope that you will take the time to respond so that we can get an accurate count of our community. Census data serves as the basis for distributing federal funding to schools, and helps us plan for future community needs. This year for the first time, you will be able to self-respond online, by phone, or by mail. We encourage you to take advantage of these self-response options once you receive your invitation to participate. Please note that your responses to the 2020 Census are safe, secure, and protected by federal law. Your answers can only be used to produce statistics—they cannot be used against you in any way.
