Dysart Graduation Ceremonies Cancelled Due to Health Concerns
The Dysart Unified School District regretfully announces that the in-person graduation ceremony, originally planned for June 30, is now cancelled. It was determined that holding an in-person ceremony, even with added health and safety precautions and social distancing, would not be in the best interest of our students, families, staff and general public. Additionally, with the added emergency declarations within each city and county, and extra precautions and attendance limitations by State Farm Stadium, we did not feel that the ceremony would truly provide the celebratory atmosphere that our graduates deserve.

The Dysart District and Shadow Ridge are still determined to celebrate and honor each and every 2020 graduate, so we will be holding a drive-through celebration on June 30 where students will receive their diplomas. Students, parents and guardians will receive further details about these alternative plans very soon. Additionally, DUSD will be releasing a virtual graduation ceremony video for each high school at 11:00 a.m. on June 29.

Safety is our top priority, and we have the social responsibility to avoid holding gatherings of this magnitude at this time. We have heavy hearts about this decision, but we know it is in the best interest of our students, families, staff and the larger community.
The faculty and staff of Shadow Ridge High School wishes the Class of 2020 the very best. We are honored to have had the opportunity to educate each and every Stallion graduate. You will always have a HOME at Shadow Ridge!

Undergrad Stallion Yearbook Distribution Update
Dear Stallion Undergrads and Families,

A lot of you may be wondering about this year’s 2020 yearbook distribution schedule. We regretfully will have to postpone that festive event for undergrads until school resumes.  Due to the extensive amount of preparation required, we are only barely able to provide the yearbooks to seniors in a safe, timely and manageable way.  Since the seniors will soon be moving on to the next chapter in their lives, it would be problematic for them to return at a much later date in the year.

We are asking that our undergrad stallions and their families exercise empathy, compassion and patience at this time.  The yearbook editors and staff will provide an opportunity shortly after school resumes to distribute the approximately one thousand remaining yearbooks in a safe, orderly and responsible manner.

Thank you for your support and understanding during these continuing challenging times. Health, safety and well-being is everyone’s concern. The effects of the current public health crisis are affecting us in ways we previously could not have imagined.  We are doing our best to pivot and accommodate situations beyond our control during this evolving dilemma.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hinde, Yearbook Advisor at [email protected]

Keep Hope Alive and Stay Stallion Strong!
