Be a Volunteer? Need a Volunteer?

Volunteer With Student
Be a Volunteer!
"Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve.”  ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Volunteers do not necessarily have the extra time, they just have the passion and commitment to serving others.  Our school community is excited to integrate community members into our schools and programs.  Community members looking  to get involved and make a difference in the lives of children and their families can volunteer in many ways for our schools, offering valuable support to educators!

In order to become a DUSD approved volunteer, follow these easy steps:
  • Review the Volunteer Handbook 22-23
  • Follow the hyperlink at the end of the handbook and Complete & submit the Volunteer Application
  • The Volunteer and Compliance Specialist will schedule a time on Tuesday or Thursdays to complete your volunteer orientation which includes the completion of the fingerprint clearance application.
  • Once fingerprint clearance is completed, you will receive a green volunteer badge. Fingerprint clearance must be renewed every 5 years.
  • You are all set!  Report to your site and you can get started!
