Student Registration

Thanks for choosing to register your student(s) in the Dysart Unified School District!  There are a variety of options for registration depending on your current status and desires.  Please review the choices below and select the appropriate link to begin your journey in the Dysart Unified School District.  

As a convenience, parents/guardians can complete the majority of the registration process online.  Once complete, parents will attend a finalization meeting where documents will be submitted and verified.  In order to finalize registration the following documents will be required: a government issued photo identification; birth certificate; proof of residency; and immunization records.  Please note that currently enrolled Dysart 8th grade students do NOT need to complete student registration for 9th grade/High School.  To determine your child’s home school, refer to the attendance map

Parents New to Dysart

For parents new to the Dysart Unified School District IN BOUNDARY, please navigate to the link below and create an account to begin the registration process.  Parents new to open enrollment out of district boundaries should visit the open enrollment link.

Add Another Child

Parents with students ALREADY ATTENDING a Dysart school can add their new student via the Parent Portal.  Click here to enter the Parent Portal.

Open Enrollment

Arizona state law allows students to apply for admission to any Dysart school, regardless of where you live, based on available classroom space. Those wishing to apply for the Freedom Traditional Academy must also apply for open enrollment.   

Preschool Registration

Dysart offers a variety of preschool programs based on student needs.  Developmental preschool is offered for those student identified as eligible for special education, while Growing Minds, Role Model, and Title I Preschool offer options for regular education students.

Full Time iSchool 

Parents of currently enrolled KG-12 students should contact their school to request the full time iSchool option.  Parents/students new to the district should visit the Boundary page to determine their home school and contact the school directly to enroll.  Parents/students who live outside district boundaries should contact iSchool to enroll.

If you are unable to register online, you may register at your local school.  Kiosks will be available in the school office for you to register online

Age Limitations: 
There are no exceptions to the age limitations stated below.
  • Kindergarten – A student registering for kindergarten must be five (5) years of age on or prior to August 31 in the school year for which you are applying (ARS 15-821).
  • First Grade – A student registering in first grade must be six (6) years of age on or before August 31 in the school year for which you are applying (ARS 15-821). 

The Rights of All Children to Enroll in School:
All children in the United States are entitled to a basic public elementary and secondary education regardless of their race, color, national origin, citizenship, immigration status, or the status of their parents/guardians. School districts that either prohibit or discourage children from enrolling in schools because they or their parents/guardians are not U.S. citizens or are undocumented may be in violation of Federal law.
