2019 Summer School Information

Middle summer school is a four week program for 7th and 8th graders that is designed to assist students in mastering key math and/or english concepts that were part of the middle school curriculum. By focusing on these skills during the summer we are creating a foundation that will improve students’ success in their courses during their 9th grade year and increase the likelihood they will graduate on time with their cohort.

High school ischool summer school is for any 9th-12th grader that needs to repeat a course or wants to take a course to get ahead on credits.

Dates/Times
Summer School Programs will begin June 3, 2019 and end June 27, 2019.  The hours for middle school are from 8:00 am- 12:00 pm Monday through Thursday. The hours of high school are
8:00 am-12:30 pm Monday through Thursday. There is no Summer School on Friday. Students are required to attend daily if they are attending middle school summer school or if they are on a scholarship for high school summer school. Attendance at the program is critical for students mastering the necessary concepts.

Transportation
Transportation will be available to students from several different elementary school locations within the district. Students will need to be at the bus stop 10 minutes early. Students who need bus transportation should choose the bus stop that is closest to their home.  Bus transportation is available to high school ischool students and middle school students. A bus pass will be provided to each student riding the bus. Students will be required to keep this pass with them during the duration of the program.
