Remote Learning Information

Remote learning starts for students on Tuesday, August 4th at 7:15 A.M. Students will need to follow their class schedule each day. Schedules will be available in the Infinite Campus Portal after 12:00 pm on Monday, August 3rd. 

We have created a Remote Learning Section to our DHS Website to provide parents and students a centralized location to get information related to our time in remote learning. 
On Monday will be receiving a message from each teacher for each class that gives you information about how your child will access learning. Having a Parent Portal account and checking email communication are important to supporting your child during remote learning.

Chromebook Distribution
Dysart High School will be issuing a Chromebook to all students this year. This Chromebook will be used for both our remote learning time and in-person classes daily when we resume. Please review the following presentation for general information and expectations.

We will be issuing Chromebooks Monday, July 27th and Tuesday, July 28th. Please see the schedule and location information below. A parent must be present to sign for the device. There are multiple times available for each family last names. Please come during one of your designated time so we can keep the process efficient for families. 

Chromebook Insurance is available for $25 per device and will be added to your child’s account.  If you have NOT paid the $25 within 5 business days, the insurance will be dropped. Insurance payment can be made through the online payment system.

Families will park in the south lot off of Varney and enter through the south gate. Chromebook pick up will be done in the 5000 building. Families will need to ensure they are wearing masks and following social distancing guidelines while inside the building.

Yearbook Pick Up
Yearbooks can be picked up on Wednesday July 8th from 12- 4 pm at the DHS Bookstore. This is also the very last day to pay off your book if you still owe a balance. Unpaid books will forfeit their deposits and be sold to people on the waiting list. People on the waiting list will be notified after the 8th and can then go to the bookstore to pay for and receive their copy.

DHS Drive-Thru Diploma Event
Dysart High School Drive-Thru Diploma Event 

DHS will be doing our drive-thru diploma event on June 30th from 4-7:30 pm.

This event will be for DHS, DHS Sundown and DHS i-School graduates.

Students will get their diploma and have a picture taken by Grads Photography. Families may have up to 2 cars attend the event but please make sure they arrive together so that we can keep the line moving efficiently for all attendees.

Seniors we encourage you to wear your cap and gown along with any of your cords/stoles for the event (caps undecorated). Families we encourage you to decorate cars or make signs to celebrate your senior.

We are so sad that we are not able to have our traditional ceremony as planned but look forward to celebrating our seniors on June 30th.

Updated Stadium Requirements for Graduation
State Farm Stadium has updated their Safety Procedures for Graduation

State Farm Stadium will now be requiring all attendees to wear a mask for the graduation ceremony on June 30th.

DHS Senior Awards
The Senior Awards Ceremony will be live starting at 3:00 pm and will remain accessible if you are not able to watch the ceremony with us at 3 pm. 

Post pictures of seniors watching the Awards Ceremony and tag the DHS Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. Use the #DHS2020

Below is the DHS Senior Awards Program 
Awards can be picked on May 18th and 19th when students are dropping off Chromebooks and taking care of Senior Checkout with the bookstore.

DHS Item Return and Pick Up
Phase 1:
JROTC Uniforms, Athletics, PE lockers, and Arts

May 7th: 9 am-2 pm
May 8th: 2 pm- 6 pm 

Spring Athletics
Students will bring their clean uniforms and equipment to the designated area for each sport. 
There will be an area for any previous season equipment that still needs to be returned. 

JROTC
Students in JROTC need to return: For the dress uniform - Outer Gray shirt,Pants for male/Skirts for female, Black JROTC Windbreaker, Class A formal Jacket, Beret, In a zip lock bag put your name tag/rank, ribbons, arches, cords and all other items along with your belt and belt buckle.  Put your name on a slip of paper in the bag so we know it is yours.  Orienteering Team - Red Team Shirt.  Drill Team JROTC Drill Team Jacket.  You will not turn in shoes, socks or white t-shirt.

Arts
Arts collection will occur through the exterior classroom doors of the 2000 building 
Students in band will need to turn in instruments and collect any personal items still in band room
Students in art and ceramics will need to collect their artwork
Students in dance will need to turn in any equipment/costumes and collect any personal items
Students in choir will need to turn in any items and collect any personal items. 

PE Lockers/Sports Storage In Office
Students who need to get items out of the lockers will be escorted by coaches (limited numbers in locker room at a time). (Students need to bring their own bag to put their items in.)
Students will clear lockers, gather belongings, turn in PE lock into bin. 
Items that remain will be collected and donated to Goodwill of AZ.

e-learning Chromebook Checkout

Parents who need to check out a Chromebook device for their child's e-learning may do so at the DHS front office area on Thursday March 26 or Friday March 27 from 8:00am-2:00pm. Parents will need to sign a Technology Agreement form. (click on English User Agreement English [PDF]  or Spanish User Agreement Spanish [PDF]).

If parents are unable to come with their child to pick up the device, they may send their child with the completed form. We will also need the student's ID to check out the device.
