Conditioning Club

A club that prepares students for all fall, winter and spring sports. It also promotes togetherness as a team and school in general. It promotes and emphasizes the importance of good grades and good sportsmanship.

Football Club

Team sport that teaches kids accountability, leadership, and the impact of positive sportsmanship. Every position has a purpose and to execute a play successfully, each individual needs to fulfill their responsibility, while working together—a skill that's valuable both on and off the field. As a team we also promote schooling and attitude around school.

Student Council

Student Council is an organization conducted by students and supervised by an adult.  The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects.  In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community cohesion, the student council is the voice of the student body.  They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community.

The function of the student council is based upon parliamentary procedures.  Ideas are presented, voted upon and confirmed by the president.  Any student that is interested in leadership, organizational behavior, event planning or becoming more involved in the school are welcome to become involved.

Green Team

Students participate in helping pick up paper to be recycled. It is a fun atmosphere for those that care about the environment. This year students will design artwork and posters to promote environmental awareness. All grade levels are encouraged to apply!

Yearbook 

Yearbook is a student-focused publication where students work together to collaboratively build the DMS yearbook. Yearbook meets daily to work on the yearbook, plan page designs, and arrange the pictures taken by student photographers at school and sports events. Yearbook staff members work to sort pictures, organize page development, and monitor yearbook progress throughout the school year. The yearbook staff organizes club photos, 8th grade superlatives and memories, and is responsible for distributing yearbooks at the end of the school year.

Fashion Club

In this club students will learn about the basics of fashion, designers, and sewing techniques along with sewing projects of their own. Students who are interested in fashion will learn how fashion is forecasted, why the color schemes of each season are so similar in every store, and the terminology for fit, fabric, and style. Students will also learn basic sewing techniques by creating a binder of samples for each technique learned Once this has been completed students will begin working on sewing projects of their choice. The goal is to finish 2 projects by the end of the year.
