Chemical Hygiene Plan, Documents, Safety Data Sheets and other Information

OSHA - Hazard Communication Standard

The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires chemical manufacturers, distributors, or importers to provide Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to communicate the hazards of hazardous chemical products. The Safety Data Sheets need to be in a uniform format, and include the section numbers, the headings, and associated information. Please review the standard and additional information below:

Safety Data Sheets:

Below are the Safety Data Sheets for chemicals located on each campus site (with the exception of chemicals utilized in science labs).  These SDS sheets must be printed and kept in a binder in the school's front office and in the Plant Manager's office. Please ensure that you print double-sided and ensure that all pages are in order. The Safety Data sheets must be readily accessible to employees.

  • Please provide a copy of the form to your plant manager.
  • The district will provide the removal service for the approved chemicals from the school sites.
  • Please complete the form with all the information requested. The information is required to provide an accurate quote for the removal and proper disposal of the chemicals.

Please remember not to order or reorder any chemicals not allowed on school campuses/labs.

  • Review the list by clicking on the button above labeled, "List of Chemical Not Allowed on School Campuses/Labs" before completing your requisition or requests for new chemicals for schools/labs.
