Visit from El Mirage Police Department

Third grade students received a visit from Sargent Culp from El Mirage Police Department. He gave students bike safety tips, crosswalk responsibilities and respecting road constructions. After students read Aero and Officer Mike and compared and contrast Officer Buckle and Gloria stories from our Reading Curriculum Journeys, they were able to pay close attention and write safety tips they learned from Sargent Culp's visit to El Mirage School.

Boys Championship

It was a great soccer season for El Mirage Tigers boys team, as they finished the season undefeated. They brought home the championship by winning against Dysart Elementary who was undefeated 1-0.

Aisles of Smiles

Twelve El Mirage students had the opportunity to be a part of Aisles of Smiles. They were able to shop with the Surprise Fire Department and select a few gifts for themselves or their families.

Hispanic Women's Conference

On September 29, 2016, Shadow Ridge HS Young ladies and El Mirage Elementary Young Ladies partnered together and attended the Hispanic Woman's Conference together. They were accompanied by Mrs. Carranza 8th Grade teacher and Mrs. Blanco 1st Grade teacher. This experience allowed them to hear stories from Successful Latina Entrepreneurs in Business, Stem and Acting that gave them an idea of goals after High School.
