We are so excited to welcome new and returning Eagles for the 2026-2027 school year! Remember gates and classrooms open at 7:55am and the late bell rings at 8:15am.  

Don't forget to stop DMS on Tuesday, August 4th from 5:00pm-6:30pm for our Meet the Teacher event.

We will be offering early Chromebook checkout on Tuesday, July 28th from 9:00am-1:00pm and Wednesday, July 29th from 11:00am - 3:00pm. Please bring $25 for the Chromebook device protection. We accept exact cash or check. 

If you are not able to make these dates, you will be able to checkout a Chromebook during our Meet the Teacher event on August 4th. Don't forget to update student update online via the Parent Portal (www.dysart.org/parentportal).  

*Please note that if there is an outstanding balance on the student's account due to a missing charger or missing Chromebook, new replacement technology will not be issued until the missing item is returned or the charge is paid.

Meet the Teacher Night is on August 4th from 5:00pm-6:30pm. Students and their Families will be able to get schedules, see classrooms, and meet teachers and staff. You will also be able to checkout your Chromebook for the school year. Please bring $25 for the device protection. We accept exact cash, or checks.

The 2026–2027 school calendar is now available! We encourage all families to review the calendar carefully and use it when planning vacations and other family events. 

Regular school attendance is essential for student success. Being at school every day helps students stay engaged in learning, build strong relationships, and avoid missing valuable classroom instruction.

Beginning July 8th our office will reopen for the 2026-2027 school year! The office is open from 7:15am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday and will be closed on Friday July 10th & July 17th.

Dysart Unified School District is accepting new PreK-12 student enrollment applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents and guardians can complete the necessary registration information online at Dysart.org/enroll at any time. Within the enrollment application, parents are able to select their home school, or request their child attend another school outside of their boundary school, including Freedom Traditional Academy, through Open Enrollment. Preschool enrollment options are also available on the main enrollment link above, as well as at GrowingMindsPreschool.org. Learn more at Dysart.org/Preschool.

For in-person enrollment assistance between June 8th and July 1st, families may visit the District Office Monday through Thursday at 15802 N. Parkview Place in Surprise, Arizona from 8am-4:30pm.  All K-12 school offices will reopen for in person enrollment on Wednesday, July 8.

Please note that in order to finalize registration the following documents will be required: government issued photo identification; birth certificate; proof of residency; and immunization records. To keep up with their child’s academic progress, parents are encouraged to sign up for the Parent Portal at Dysart.org/parentportal or via the Campus Parent app, available as early as 24 hours after registration is finalized. Students will be released at 11:15am on Wednesday, May 20th and Thursday, May 21st. Thursday, May 21st is also our last day of school for the 2025-2026 school year. Families, please don't forget to make transportation arrangements to have your student picked up on time. Thank you to all of our students, families, and community supporters; it has been a wonderful school year! See you in August!

We are so proud of all of our DMS/ELMES alumni and Class of 2026 Graduates! We invite all Class of 2026, high school and college, to join us in our annual SOARING THE HALLS parade!

Bring your cap and gown and arrive between 12:30pm-12:45pm. Sign in the front office to receive a visitors badge. 

8th grade Promotion will be held on Thursday, May 21st at The Vista Center for the Arts, (15660 N Parkview Pl, Surprise, AZ 85374). The ceremony will begin at 3:00pm, but students should plan to arrive by 2:30pm to line up for the processional. There is no ticket requirement and all are welcome to attend. Parking is limited, so carpool if possible and please keep all balloon bouquets in your vehicle until after the promotion ceremony.

Congratulations 8th graders, good luck in high school!

On Monday, we will begin collecting Chromebooks, starting with any Chromebooks that have missing keys, cracks, brackets, connection issues, etc. We will complete work orders as they are collected. Be advised that students whose Chromebooks are broken may incur charges. 

The rest of the Chromebooks will be collected by grade level beginning Tuesday. Be sure to turn in your charger. Missing or damaged chargers will need to be replaced. Parents, please check your student's Chromebook and charger. 

We are moving into our last quarter of the school year which includes state testing. Families, please take a look at our testing calendar and be sure your students is present, on time each day. They will need to bring their Chromebooks charged each day.

There will be no school Monday, March 16th-Friday, March 20th for Spring Break. The school office will also be closed and will reopen on Monday, March 23rd at 7:15am. Remember to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather! We will see everyone back on Monday the 23rd rested, relaxed, and ready to take on the last quarter of the school year!

We’re excited to share that our Color Run fundraiser is coming soon! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and a fun way to support our students while building school spirit. The fundraiser will run March 2nd-March 13th. With our Color Run event being held on Friday, March 13th.

Our schoolwide goal is to raise: $10,000! The funds raised will support our House System, field trips, and school-wide incentives for students and staff.

There is no school in observance of President's Day on Monday, February 16th. The office will also be closed and will reopen on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. 

It’s Time to Complete the Annual Parent Survey!

Please remember to complete our annual Parent Survey if you haven’t already done so. We want to know what our district and school are doing well and how we can improve in the future. It should take about 5 minutes to complete and will be open through Sunday, February 15. Find it in English at www.dysart.org/survey and in Spanish at www.dysart.org/encuesta 

Family conferences will be held January 26th and February 2nd-February 6th. Please sign up for a time to meet on ParentSquare. If you have questions or need assistance, please call 623-876-7100. Also, students will be released at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 5th and Friday, February 6th.

There will be no school and our front office will be closed in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 19th. School will resume on Tuesday, January 20th for the 100th day of school!
