The school office will be closed from June 4 through July 7. Office hours will resume on the following dates:

Meet the Teacher Open House
Families are invited to attend our Meet the Teacher Open House on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher, visit the classroom, and prepare for a successful school year.

New Student Enrollment Open for 26-27 School Year
Dysart Unified School District is accepting new PreK-12 student enrollment applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents and guardians can complete the necessary registration information online at Dysart.org/enroll at any time. Within the enrollment application, parents are able to select their home school, or request their child attend another school outside of their boundary school, including Freedom Traditional Academy, through Open Enrollment. Preschool enrollment options are also available on the main enrollment link above, as well as at GrowingMindsPreschool.org. Learn more at Dysart.org/Preschool.
For in-person enrollment assistance between June 8th and July 1st, families may visit the District Office Monday through Thursday at 15802 N. Parkview Place in Surprise, Arizona from 8am-4:30pm. All K-12 school offices will reopen for in person enrollment on Wednesday, July 8.
Please note that in order to finalize registration the following documents will be required: government issued photo identification; birth certificate; proof of residency; and immunization records. To keep up with their child’s academic progress, parents are encouraged to sign up for the Parent Portal at Dysart.org/parentportal or via the Campus Parent app, available as early as 24 hours after registration is finalized. To find out if your child is eligible for transportation, visit Dysart.org/Transportation.

The Westing Game Theater Performance
West Point Advanced Theater is pleased to present The Westing Game on Friday, May 15th at 6PM at West Point Elementary School. Admission is free and families and guests are welcome.

Band/Orchestra Concert
The spring band and orchestra concert is on Thursday , May 7th. Musicians should arrive and doors open at 5:30 PM and the show begins at 6:00 PM .
Middle School Dance
Students in grades 6–8 are invited to attend the End-of-Year Middle School Dance on Friday, May 8th, from 6:00–8:00 PM. Tickets are $7 each, or $5 with the donation of a new clothing item. Tickets will be sold before school Tuesday through Friday this week, or they may be purchased at the door. A permission slip is required for entry, and all students must follow the school dress code.

Testing continues this week with 6th, 7th, & 8th graders on Tuesday, April 14th and Wednesday, April 15th. They will be taking reading and math each day.
Spring Holiday
As a reminder, there is no school on Friday, April 17th.
Greenway Road Crack Seal Project
The City of Surprise will be applying crack seal along Greenway Road between Litchfield and Dysart from April 13- April 16th during the hours of 8AM - 3:30 PM. This may cause lane restrictions and have impact arrival to campus. Please follow all traffic restrictions and allow time for possible delays.
Families can plan ahead by utilizing the satellite drop off locations located along the back of the school in the West Point neighborhood. Gates open at 8:40 AM at the following locations:
Gate 1: 138th Avenue and Ocotillo Lane
Gate 2: Bonow Drive and Ocotillo Lane
Gate 3: The Cul De Sac at the end of 136th Lane just South of Desert Lane

Kindergarten Experience 2026
Future Kindergarten students registered to attend West Point in the fall of 2026 are invited to attend Kindergarten Experience. Students will explore reading and math instruction while learning routines, procedures, and expectations needed for making friends and having a successful school experience. This will help with their transition into school and ease their anxiety as they begin a new school year!

Kindergarten and 8th graders will have promotion pictures taken on Thursday, April 9th.
Kindergarteners will take an individual picture with a borrowed cap and gown. Please choose a hair style that works with the promotion cap.

Festival of the Arts
This Saturday, March 7, 2026, we invite you to attend the Dysart Festival of the Arts presented by Germain Honda of Surprise held at Valley Vista High School from 10am-2pm. This festival will consist of over 100 performances from all elementary and high school band, choir, theater, and dance programs along with a beautiful Art Showcase.
In addition to all the performances and shows, there will be an Arts and Crafts fair with over 50 vendors from throughout the community and another 10 food trucks. Lastly, we hope you will visit the gym for our Arts Experience. The Arts Experience includes a multitude of hands-on experiences in all arts disciplines for any one of any age to try.
This is a free family-friendly event that is open to the public. For more information or a detailed schedule of performances, please go to dysart.org/artsfest. Please come spend your day celebrating and experiencing the arts with us.

APEX Fun Run
Reminder, pledging for PreK-5th grade closes this Thursday at 11:59pm! Keep the momentum going by using the Share Wizard to share your student's pledge page. Together, we’re building essential leadership habits that help our students grow, lead, and rise to the next level. 🌟 We're thrilled to invite you to join us for an unforgettable experience at our Apex Events on Wednesday, February 11th (6th-8th grade color war for students who raised $30 in pledges) and Thursday, February 12th (All K-5th Grades)! Preschool students will participate in an activity in their classrooms. Let’s Level Up our support and make a lasting impact!
6th-8th Grade Color Wars on Wednesday, Feb. 11th at 2:30 PM is open for students who have raised at least $30 in pledges. Parents of participating students are invited to attend.
K-5th Grade Obstacle Course Fun Run on Thursday, February 12th. Parents are welcome to come cheer on their students.

PTSA Family Valentines Dance💘
Families are invited on Friday, February 13th to attend the Valentines Dance from 5PM-7PM. Admission is free for PTSA members and $5 per student. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Annual Dysart Parent Survey
Please remember to complete our annual Parent Survey if you haven’t already done so. We want to know what our district and school are doing well and how we can improve in the future. APEX Fun Run
🌟 Get ready to Level Up!! 🚀 Our @ApexLeadershipCompany Fundraiser kicks off on Tuesday, February 3rd , and this year's KG-5th grade theme is "Apex LEVEL UP"! 💫Get ready for a leadership journey with our @apexleadershipcompany KG-5th grade obstacle course and 6th-8th grade Color Games fundraiser for School Improvements. Stay tuned for more info on how to support us.
Worlds Finest Chocolate- Money Due
Thank you to all who participated in the World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser. Please turn in any outstanding money to the front office on Monday.
Spring Picture Day
Spring pictures are on Wednesday, February 4th.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Conferences will be held this week. Please watch for specific appointment times from your child’s teacher. We are aiming for 100% participation and appreciate your support! Please note that early release will take place on Thursday, February 5, and Friday, February 6, with dismissal at 1:45 PM to accommodate conferences. There will be no Preschool classes on these days.
Scholastic Book Fair
The Book Fair is back during the week of February 2-6th. Students are able to shop during the school day and a family shopping night is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 5th from 2PM-7PM.
STEM Club
3rd - 8th graders interested in STEM can attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 4th at 4:00 PM. The STEM club will meet Wednesdays after school starting on Feb. 11th. Come join in on the fun and represent West Point at the district STEM competition.
