New Student Enrollment Open for 26-27 School Year
Dysart Unified School District is accepting new PreK-12 student enrollment applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents and guardians can complete the necessary registration information online at Dysart.org/enroll at any time. Within the enrollment application, parents are able to select their home school, or request their child attend another school outside of their boundary school, including Freedom Traditional Academy, through Open Enrollment. Preschool enrollment options are also available on the main enrollment link above, as well as at GrowingMindsPreschool.org. Learn more at Dysart.org/Preschool.
For in-person enrollment assistance between June 8th and July 1st, families may visit the District Office Monday through Thursday at 15802 N. Parkview Place in Surprise, Arizona from 8am-4:30pm. All K-12 school offices will reopen for in person enrollment on Wednesday, July 8.
Please note that in order to finalize registration the following documents will be required: government issued photo identification; birth certificate; proof of residency; and immunization records. To keep up with their child’s academic progress, parents are encouraged to sign up for the Parent Portal at Dysart.org/parentportal or via the Campus Parent app, available as early as 24 hours after registration is finalized. Summer Break!
Its summer break! We hope everyone has a wonderful summer and we will see everyone back in the fall! Watch for updates on when we come back, back to school night and so on. Have a safe summer everyone!
Summer is coming!
Next week is the last week of school. The schedule is as follows;
Monday - early day. Out at 1:00pm
Tuesday - Normal school day, out at 3:00pm
Wednesday - Out at 11:15am (Lunch will be provided)
Thursday - Out at 11:15am (Lunch will be provided)
8th Grade promotion - At The Vista, Thursday at 5pm, students there at 4:30pm. 6 family members per student allowed in. Dress code for school applies. Boys wear nice clothes, girls may wear dresses within dress code. No spaghetti straps, short skirts etc. Keep in mind many girls will be seated on the front rows of the stage when considering length of dresses.

Fines and Fees!
This is your friendly reminder to check your child's account for outstanding fines or fees! You can find those fees in the Online Payment Portal. You access that portal through the parents tab on Dysart's website under "Tools". If you have questions or concerns please let us know. Those fees should be paid by the end of the school year! Thank you!
Promotion Information
We just wanted to send a reminder about Promotion Information. Promotion is on Thursday May 21st at 5:00pm at The Vista Center for the Arts. Additional information about requirements to participate are on Parentsquare. Families are allowed 6 guests, as we are limited on seats at the Vista. If you have any questions or concerns you may call the front office. See you all there! Congrats to your 8th graders!

Field Trips!
We have several field trips coming up, don't forget to pay the fees and get ready to have some fun! Band, Advanced Choir and the 8th grade all have trips coming up! If you have questions please reach out to your students teachers or the front office! We want everyone to go and have fun with their peers as the end of the year comes up!
AASA Testing Coming Up!
Next week starts our AASA testing! Please make sure to come with your tummy's full, a full nights sleep and a charged Chromebook! Testing is Tuesday and Wednesday! See you next week!
Spring Break!
Reminder! Next week is Spring Break! No School! We will see everyone back on Monday March 23rd!
Band and Choir Concerts!
We have band and choir concerts coming up! Band concert, March 3rd in the courtyard at 5pm and Choir concert March the 10th in the courtyard at 5pm! Hope to see you all there!
STEAM NIGHT!
Our third annual STEAM Night is coming up! Next Thursday February 26th from 5-7pm! We will have vendors, local businesses, City of Surprise Police, K-9 Unit, Fire Department, NASA and Luke Airforce Base and so many more all here! Our teachers have had their students making projects, working on Art and so much more. We will also have food trucks here for some fun easy dinner ideas. Admittance is free and its a family affair! Bring your spouses, kids, neighbors and family members and join us on our amazing night!

Parent Teacher Conferences this week!
Parent Teacher Conferences are this week! Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are by appointment only to be scheduled through your students teachers. Thursday Feb 5th are the open house conferences here at the school from 1:30pm to 6pm! See you all this week!
"A" Rated School!
We are very proud to be a Dysart "A" Rated school. Our staff, students, families and community members all worked together to help create a positive healthy learning environment here at Cimarron Springs Middle School. We are dedicated to continuing this tradition this year and more to come beyond!
Next week is Benchmark Testing!
We have Benchmark Testing next Wednesday the 28th and Thursday the 29th. Please make sure your kids come with a full tummy, charged Chromebook and some words of encouragement! They will do great!

Don't forget that Dr Martin Luther King Day is Monday Jan 19th! Enjoy the day off and we will see everyone on Tuesday January 20th!
Saddle Up For 6th Grade
Its time for the incoming 6th graders to come see what Cimarron is all about! Next Wednesday, January 14th starting at 5pm sharp we will have a short presentation about our school, from our Principal and Assistant Principal, followed by a tour of the school given by our amazing Student Council and NJHS kids! Saddle up for some fun and a cookie next Wednesday at 5pm!
