New Student Enrollment Open for 26-27 School Year
Dysart Unified School District is accepting new PreK-12 student enrollment applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents and guardians can complete the necessary registration information online at Dysart.org/enroll at any time. Within the enrollment application, parents are able to select their home school, or request their child attend another school outside of their boundary school, including Freedom Traditional Academy, through Open Enrollment. Preschool enrollment options are also available on the main enrollment link above, as well as at GrowingMindsPreschool.org. Learn more at Dysart.org/Preschool.
For in-person enrollment assistance between June 8th and July 1st, families may visit the District Office Monday through Thursday at 15802 N. Parkview Place in Surprise, Arizona from 8am-4:30pm. All K-12 school offices will reopen for in person enrollment on Wednesday, July 8.
Please note that in order to finalize registration the following documents will be required: government issued photo identification; birth certificate; proof of residency; and immunization records. To keep up with their child’s academic progress, parents are encouraged to sign up for the Parent Portal at Dysart.org/parentportal or via the Campus Parent app, available as early as 24 hours after registration is finalized. CRS Preschool Celebration & Promotion
Preschool celebrated the end of the school year with a "Super Star" Promotion. The students looked fabulous and enjoyed the party!

CRS Choir Takes Home The Win
Our Choir Students brought home the win with 2 First Place Trophies and a Superior Rating at the Hurricane Harbor Music In The Parks Competition. We are so proud of our singers and director Mr. Hammersmith.

Mathletes Take 1st & 3rd Place in District Competition
7th and 8th Grade Mathletes competed in the Dysart District Competition. Our students formed 2 teams and brought home 1st and 3rd Place. We are so proud of our students, Coach Fern and Coach Palmer. Way to Go Team!

Tikiz Shaved Ice Treats Canyon Students To Free Day
The students of Canyon Ridge enjoyed a a Free Cup of Shaved Ice from Tikiz. It was a perfect hot day to enjoy the treat. Thank you Tikiz!

Canyon Ridge Wins 3 of 4 Sports Championships
April 30th was an amazing night for Canyon Ridge! They won 3 out of 4 Season 3 District Championships!

Canyon Ridge 8th Grader Wins 1st Place in City of Surprise Writing Contest!
Congratulations to 8th Grader, Andy A . for winning 1st place in the City of Surprise writing contest. He was recognized at the Surprise City Council meeting! We are so proud of you!

American Heart Association Provides New CPR Kit to Canyon Ridge
The American Heart Association, presented a CPR Kit to Canyon Ridge Elementary on 4.27.26. We truly value and appreciate our partnership!

Animal Ambassadors Visit Canyon Ridge
Canyon Ridge PTA provided an on-campus field trip for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. Animal Ambassadors from Estrella Mountain Community College taught our K-2 students about animals and reptiles. Thank you PTA for setting up this learning experience for our students.

Outstanding Fees and Fines are Due
Outstanding Fee and Fine payments are due. Outstanding Fees and Fines cannot be waived and will stay with your student throughout their time in Dysart.
Library Book Fees - If you have a library book fine and have the book, please return it to the office today. If not, please pay the fine so we can replace the lost book.
Sports and Club Fees - if your student did not participate, please contact the office today to update your students account. Athletic & Activity fees go back into the programs and are used to purchase supplies, equipment, and uniforms. **Athletic fees are under the Arizona State Tax Credit Contribution which supports local schools and you will receive a dollar for dollar state tax credit. Community members can make these contributions also. You do not need to have a student enrolled at a Dysart school for this benefit.
Eighth grade students must pay all fees and fines by April 24th in order to attend the end of year activities. Outstanding fees and/or fines could delay the completion of enrollment at their high school.

Canyon Ridge Students Shine During Choir Concert
Under the direction of Mr. Hammersmith, Canyon Ridge Kindergarten - 2nd Grade students delivered an outstanding performance. The excited students danced, sang and entertained the audience for over an hour.

Vietnam Veteran Winnie Fritz Shares Her Story With CRS 7th Graders
On Friday, April 17th, Vietnam Veteran Winnie Fritz presented her story to the 7th grade students. Winnie was an Army nurse unit commanding officer in Vietnam in 1970. She was 22 years old. During her tenure as a U.S. Army Nurse, Ms. Fritz held leadership positions in Thailand, and Vietnam where her commendations include the Bronze Star, and earned her pilot's wings.

8th Grade Promotion Parent Meeting
The 8th Grade Promotion Parent Meeting will be on Monday, March 23rd at 5:00 PM in the CRS Media Center. The meeting will cover end of year activities, student expectations and promotion details. We look forward to seeing our 8th grade parents at the meeting!
