Dysart Unified School District is accepting new PreK-12 student enrollment applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents and guardians can complete the necessary registration information online at Dysart.org/enroll at any time. Within the enrollment application, parents are able to select their home school, or request their child attend another school outside of their boundary school, including Freedom Traditional Academy, through Open Enrollment. Preschool enrollment options are also available on the main enrollment link above, as well as at GrowingMindsPreschool.org. Learn more at Dysart.org/Preschool.

For in-person enrollment assistance between June 8th and July 1st, families may visit the District Office Monday through Thursday at 15802 N. Parkview Place in Surprise, Arizona from 8am-4:30pm.  All K-12 school offices will reopen for in person enrollment on Wednesday, July 8.

Please note that in order to finalize registration the following documents will be required: government issued photo identification; birth certificate; proof of residency; and immunization records. To keep up with their child’s academic progress, parents are encouraged to sign up for the Parent Portal at Dysart.org/parentportal or via the Campus Parent app, available as early as 24 hours after registration is finalized. Please note the following information for iSchool students:

• All offered courses meet graduation requirements and are taught by certified teachers. 
• Students taking iSchool courses will have access to in-person instructors in the Valley Vista High School Media Center for additional support. 
• iSchool students are required to to take an in-person final exam at Valley Vista High School before noon on June 18th. 
• iSchool students must earn a 60% or higher on BOTH the coursework and final exam in order to receive credit.

This is a full morning for our seniors. Please note that attendance at practice is mandatory to participate in the commencement ceremony.

• 7:30 AM | Senior Breakfast: Join us in the Cafeteria for one last meal together as a class. 
• Following Breakfast | Senior Parade: Don your graduation gowns for a celebratory parade through campus! 
• 8:30 AM | Graduation Practice: Practice will begin in the Gym immediately following the parade.

Wednesday, May 13th: Graduation Ceremony

It’s time to cross the stage! Please be mindful of the venue's strict arrival and security protocols. 

• Location: Desert Diamond Arena 
• Ceremony Start: 5:30 PM 
• Graduate Arrival: 4:30 PM sharp at Gate 7. 
• Arrival Status: Please have your cap and gown in hand when arriving at the gate. 

NO PHONES ALLOWED: Graduates are not permitted to have cell phones during the ceremony. Please leave them with family members or secure them in your vehicle.

Graduation is just around the corner! It’s almost time to pick up your supplies for the big day. Valley Vista High School, in partnership with Jostens, will be hosting the official Cap & Gown Distribution event soon. 💜

What if I miss the event? 

If you are unable to attend the distribution event during 3rd hour on Wednesday, don't worry. Your cap and gown will be available for pickup in the bookstore starting the following day (Thursday, March 12th).

This year's festival will be held March 7, 2026

Time: 10am to 2pm Location: Valley Vista High School 15550 N. Parkview Place, Surprise AZ

This year’s festival promises to be a spectacular celebration of the arts. This event will showcase the visual and performing arts programs from 16 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 4 high schools in the Dysart Unified School District. 

We expect at least 10,000+ attendees. The Dysart Arts Festival will be a full day featuring performances on multiple stages including various dance troops, theatre troops, choirs, and bands. The elementary, middle school, and high school visual arts programs will host two art showcases including 2D and 3D pieces. 

We will feature an Arts Vendor Fair where attendees can shop from local artists. Our “Arts Experience” area will offer hands-on opportunities, including dance workshops, bucket drumming, keyboard labs, 3D arts activities, and art projects. Our “Adaptive Arts Experience” offers a hands-on immersive arts experience for individuals and families that may need accommodations or a sensory friendly environment. Food trucks will be on-site to satisfy your appetite. This event is open to the public and free to attend, and we look forward to celebrating a day of arts with our community, families, and students.

Our Valley Vista Girls Basketball team has fought hard all season, and now it’s time to defend our home court! ! We need every student, parent, and fan in the stands to bring the noise and cheer our girls on to victory.

It’s a historic week for our athletes! We are incredibly proud to announce that our Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, and Wrestling teams have all qualified for their respective State Tournaments. 

The hard work and grit have paid off. Now, it’s time for the fans to do their part. Dust off your school colors, clear your calendars, and let’s show the state what our community is made of!
