Red, Blue & Ready for Kinder event on July 30th

PTA is sponsoring an event for all incoming Kindergarteners - Red, Blue & Ready for Kinder! This event will be on July 30th for 9:00am to 12:00pm. The cost is $30 per student and will include an exclusive Kinder shirt, snack and family lunch.  More information on this event will be coming soon!

Meet the teacher night on Tuesday, August 4th

• 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Freedom Traditional Academy

• School starts at 8:15am Monday through Friday
• School releases every Monday is 1:00 pm
• School releases Tuesday through Friday is 3:00 pm.

Dysart Unified School District is accepting new PreK-12 student enrollment applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents and guardians can complete the necessary registration information online at Dysart.org/enroll at any time. Within the enrollment application, parents are able to select their home school, or request their child attend another school outside of their boundary school, including Freedom Traditional Academy, through Open Enrollment. For in-person enrollment assistance between June 8th and July 1st, families may visit the District Office Monday through Thursday at 15802 N. Parkview Place in Surprise, Arizona from 8am-4:30pm.  All K-12 school offices will reopen for in person enrollment on Wednesday, July 8.

Please note that in order to finalize registration the following documents will be required: government issued photo identification; birth certificate; proof of residency; and immunization records. To keep up with their child’s academic progress, parents are encouraged to sign up for the Parent Portal at Dysart.org/parentportal or via the Campus Parent app, available as early as 24 hours after registration is finalized. To find out if your child is eligible for transportation, visit Dysart.org/Transportation.

K Pop Family Bingo Night

Read Across America Spirit Week will be Monday March 2nd - Friday March 6th

• Monday - The Cat In The Hat Day -  Crazy hair (no spray in colors/glitter) or wear a hat

Please join us at Freedom Traditional Academy for our Kindergarten Showcase on Tuesday, February 24 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Showcase is a great opportunity for parents of future Kindergartners to tour the school, meet the teachers, and have any questions you may have answered.

Requirements to attend Kindergarten are as follows:

Students typically must be five (5) years of age on or prior to August 31 in the school year for which they are applying to begin kindergarten. However, Dysart has established a process by which an incoming student who does meet this age requirement, but will turn five prior to the end of the calendar year, can be evaluated for possible early entry into Dysart’s Kindergarten program.

It’s Time to Complete the Annual Parent Survey!

Please remember to complete our annual Parent Survey if you haven’t already done so. We want to know what our district and school are doing well and how we can improve in the future. Early Release Due To Parent/Teacher Conferences

Please remember that this upcoming Thursday and Friday (February 5 & 6) are early release days due to parent/teacher conferences. School will get out at 1:00 PM.

Attendance Matters!

We will be kicking off our Olympic themed attendance contest on Monday, February 2, 2026.  Please ensure your student is arriving on time, everyday, ready to learn!
