As a Dysart staff member, you are our most valuable asset. We are committed to providing you with the most competitive and cost-effective benefits programs possible. You are eligible for benefits if you are a Certified employee working full time in either a contracted .5 FTE or 1.0 FTE position, or if you are a classified employee working 6 or more hours in one position. Benefits are effective depending on the position or contracted start date. If this date is from the 1st - 15th of the month, benefits are effective the 1st of the following month. If this date is from the 16th - end of the month, benefits are effective the 1st of the second month.

Dysart offers two plans for employees, an HSA 3000 and a PPO 2500 administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of AZ. The district pays $7,104 annually toward each Medical plan option. Each Medical Plan includes Teladoc ($10 co-pay).

Dysart offers two plans for employees, a Delta Dental PPO and a Total Dental DHMO. The district pays $124.08 annually toward each Dental plan option.

Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS)

Dysart Schools is proud to be a member of the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), ranked nationally as one of the best pension programs in the country. It provides a lifetime benefit based on years of service earned, or worked, and your ending salary. It is not the same structure as a 401(k) or other defined contribution plans, which provide for a benefit based on dollars contributed, plus interest earned. As a district employee you will be participating in ASRS with deductions each paycheck.

The current contribution rate is 12.29%.

403B and 457 Accounts

The district also sponsors 403b and 457b pre-tax and post-tax investment accounts that can be used to supplement your income when you retire. These are educational investments accounts that differ from the normal 401k accounts and provide unique opportunities for our employees to supplement their retirement savings.

Health Coaching

Free weekly health coaching is provided to all Dysart employees. We have partnered with the Wellness Council of AZ and Coach Amanda works with employees who wish to lose weight, improve cholesterol, reduce hypertension, manage diabetes, manage stress and more! Coach Amanda can help you meet your wellness goals through Nutrition, Sports and Fitness, Weight Loss, Stress Management, Self-Care and Disease Management.
