DEF Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

DYSART SCHOOLS - The Dysart Education Foundation (DEF) is pleased to announce that college scholarship applications are now being accepted through April 1, 2024. Graduating seniors from Dysart, Shadow Ridge, Valley Vista, and Willow Canyon High Schools, are invited to apply. DEF supports learning beyond a student’s K-12 experience. Each graduating senior may submit one application to be eligible for multiple scholarships from DEF administered by the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF).


***UPDATE 2/13/24: The deadline for scholarships has been extended to April 1, 2024.***

***UPDATE 3/25/24: The FASFA requirement is no longer needed in order to apply for the scholarships.***


DEF, along with local donors, will be awarding 23 students with a total of $92,000 in scholarship funds. Students graduating from the four high schools in the Dysart Unified School District are encouraged to apply.

DEF offers one and two year scholarships.  Students attending a trade school, community college, or university may apply to receive any one of the DEF scholarships.  To apply visit: www.dysarteducationfoundation.org/scholarships and click on the direct link to apply on the ACF General Application. 

The recipients will be notified by ACF via email in April.  The student recipients and their parents/guardians will be invited to attend the Dysart Education Foundation Awards Dinner on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 to accept their scholarships.

Student scholarship recipients are responsible for keeping ACF/DEF informed of all current information concerning home address, emails, class schedules, GPA, and transcripts. A separate link will be provided via email from DEF to scholarship recipients in December 2024, May 2025, and December 2025 to update the organization and its scholarship donors each semester. Failure to provide required documents may result in the loss of the scholarship.

The Dysart Education Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting students and teachers in the Dysart Unified School District.
