Dysart Voted Favorite Public School District for Second Year

DYSART SCHOOLS - For the second straight year in a row, the Dysart Unified School District was voted the Favorite Public School District by the community in the West Valley Favorites competition. Dysart is an “A” rated district, and won additional accolades in several other categories including Favorite Music School, Favorite Festival for the Dysart Festival of the Arts and was runner-up for Favorite Place to Work. Dysart’s The Vista Center for the Arts won for Event Venue, Live Theatre and Music Venue, and Shadow Ridge High School took top honors for Performing Arts School. Growing Minds Preschool was a runner-up for both the Preschool and Childcare/Daycare categories, and Dysart High School's Elena Lozano was runner-up for Teacher. 


“Dysart is honored to receive this designation from our community,” said Superintendent Dr. John Croteau. “We are here to provide the very best educational experience possible to our families, and this vote of confidence shows that we are doing things right, and making a difference in the lives of our students. Dysart continually seeks to improve and grow our student support efforts, and we invite the community to walk alongside us in this endeavor.” 


West Valley Favorites is a contest administered annually by Independent News Media, and solicits nominations and votes from the community. There are a variety of categories covered, including Arts & Entertainment; Health, Fitness & Wellness; Home & Garden; Community; Vehicles & Services; Food & Drink; Professional Services; Shopping & Beauty. This year, there were a total of 28,863 nominations, and 51,823 total votes.
