OVERVIEW
My firm belief is that all students can learn and teachers make the difference. Students must have a stable environment to assist in learning. Teachers are using backwards design, aligning instruction and objectives to State Standards. Instruction will use academic conversations to increase student engagement. Our school will bring consistency and structure to our environment creating a safe atmosphere for students.
We are looking forward to serving our community,
CORE COURSES

Mathematics
For grades K-3, Dysart Schools use Florida Virtual, Math in Focus and Illustrative Mathematics for instruction. Students develop their skills in counting, operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations, fractions, measurement/data, and geometry. For grades 4-8, we use the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum delivered by Imagine Learning (4-5) or McGraw Hill (6-8). Students construct mathematical knowledge by actively engaging in authentic math tasks which connect and deepen prior knowledge.

Language Arts
Dysart schools use 95 Percent Group Phonics, HMH Into Reading, Florida Virtual, CommonLit, HMH Journeys, and SAVVAS myPerspectives to develop literacy skills in Phonological awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Fluency, and Comprehension. Students develop their skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking, and language use as described in the state standards for each grade level.

Science
Dysart schools use Discovery Science Tech book curriculum, as well as Generation Genius and Mystery Science. Students actively participate in science practices, and look through the lens of cross cutting concepts, as they explore the content described in the state standards for each grade level.

Social Studies
Dysart Schools use the Florida Virtual, McGraw Hill Networks, and Discovery Education curriculums for the instruction of Social Studies. Students engage in inquiry based instruction where they explore the various content described in the state standards for each grade level.
