Newsletter Club

Purpose: This is a student club for third graders that will write and distribute a school newspaper.

Choir
Advisor: Emily Wilson
Purpose: Students in grades that participate in choir will focus on learning different types of choral music, sight-reading, correct singing techniques, and performance etiquette. The Asante Choir performs at school and district events and has a large concert once a semester.

Art Club

Purpose: The purpose of this club will be for students to explore and create art.

STEM
Advisor: Alicia Mullins
Purpose: The students will participate in science, technology, engineering, and math activities with a focus on hands-on activities. The students will also learn basic coding and working with robotics.

Entry to Sports
Advisors: Rachel Plitzuweit, Randy Maville, and Dylan Preston
Purpose: Students in 3rd-5th grade will be invited to participate in a before school Beginning Sports Club. They will be introduced to various team sports and learn the skills and concepts to participate in those sports. We will be working on soccer, volleyball, basketball, and flag football throughout the duration of the club. Teamwork and sportsmanship will be a primary focus throughout.

Robotics Club

Purpose: Students will work with robotics to compete in challenges. The culminating event will be the district competition.

Board Game Club

Purpose: Students will play and explore various board games.

Mathletes

Purpose: Students who join Mathletes will explore math challenges in teams. The culminating activity will be participation in the Mathletes District Competition.

KPop Club
Advisors: Dana Choo and Patricia Borgesen
Purpose: Welcome to Kpop Club, everyone! For people who are unfamiliar with Kpop, it stands for Korean pop culture. Club members will explore a new culture, food, dances, songs, and the Korean language itself. Groups include, but not limited to, BTS and Blackpink. The club an opportunity for people with similar interests to interact with each other and meet some new friends.
