We know that specials/electives can be confusing, so we want to ensure that our families have the following information regarding schedules. If you have any questions about how to access your specials or elective classes, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.
Students in Kindergarten through 4th grade attend one specials area class - Art, iExplore, Music, Physical Education with Coach Visbal and Physical Education with Coach Suarez- for the week and then rotate to the next specials class the following week. Parents can check with their child's homeroom teacher for that week's specials class.
Students in 5th grade attend two electives classes per quarter with their homeroom. Each class has an A day specials class and a B day specials class. Parents can check with the homeroom teacher for that quarter's A and B day schedule.
Students in 6th through 8th grade attend two electives classes per quarter - an A day class and a B day class. When looking at your student's schedule, parents can determine which electives are A or B days by checking the course number.
- Course numbers that end in a zero (10, 20, 30, and 40) are A day specials for first, second, third, and fourth quarters, respectively.
- Course numbers that end in a one (11, 21, 31, and 41) are the B day specials for first, second, third, and fourth quarters, respectively.
Every Tuesday and Thursday is an A day. Every Wednesday and Friday is a B day. Mondays alternate on the schedule below:
