🍎 PTA

As we begin preparing for the 2026–2027 school year, we are excited to invite you to become a member of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA)! Our PTA plays an important role in supporting our students, teachers, and school community—and we would love for you to be part of it. The PTA helps make so many of our school events and programs possible, including family nights, teacher appreciation activities, student incentives, academic celebrations, and more. When you join the PTA, you are helping strengthen our school and make a positive impact on every child. 

Who can join? 

Parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, and community members—all are welcome! Membership Dues PTA dues for the 2026–2027 school year will be $10 per member. Anyone wishing to run for an officer position—Vice President, Treasurer, or Secretary—must have their dues paid before running for office. 

 Why join? 

 Stay connected and informed Support school programs and activities Help create meaningful experiences for students Make your voice heard in decisions that affect our school Build relationships with other families and staff

What’s the commitment? 

Membership does not require a large time commitment. You can be as involved as your schedule allows—support, volunteer, or simply stay informed. Every member makes a difference

🌟 Site Council

The Site Council's mission is to create a shared vision for curricular and instructional strategies/designs, involving a variety of the members of the school and community who will be most affected by the results. 

The Site Council:

• Is advisory to the school administrative staff. 
• Is a representative group that solicits input from parents, community, and staff members. 
• Reviews literature and data.
• Makes recommendations for school improvement.
• Monitors implementation structure for new instructional designs. 
• Provides leadership and representation in the school decision-making structure.

🏅 Volunteer

Our school community is excited to integrate community members into our schools and programs.  Community members looking to get involved and make a difference in the lives of children and their families can volunteer in many ways for our school, offering valuable support to educators!

🍏 Tax Credit

You can support Surprise Elementary School and receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit.  Choose one of the four categories and a school to support, and 100% of your donation goes to the category and school of your choice.  Arizona Law (ARS 43-1089.01) allows married couples filing jointly a tax credit of up to $400 and individual taxpayers a tax credit of up to $200 when they contribute to extra-curricular activities in public schools. This tax credit is available to all who reside in Arizona and have a tax liability at least equal to that of their donation.  You do not have to be a parent of a child in our school to benefit from this law. Contributions are donated directly to the school.  This means your donations are used directly to support student activities here at Surprise Elementary School.
